I had a test for vitamin D3 (25-OH) and my levels were 11.5 ng/mL. After two months of taking two tablets daily (one in the morning and one at lunchtime), I had the test again and the result was 53.9 ng/mL.
For those who are unaware, it is advisable to take the supplement after a meal containing fat (e.g. olive oil), as this significantly aids absorption.
It is also important to ensure an adequate intake of magnesium, as it helps to activate vitamin D in the body. Personally, on days when my diet didn’t provide enough, I would also take a magnesium supplement.

Για όσους δεν γνωρίζουν, το συμπλήρωμα είναι καλό να καταναλώνεται μετά από γεύμα που περιέχει λίπος (π.χ. ελαιόλαδο), καθώς αυτό βοηθάει σημαντικά στην απορρόφηση.
Επίσης, είναι σημαντικό να υπάρχει επαρκής πρόσληψη μαγνησίου, καθώς συμβάλλει στην ενεργοποίηση της βιταμίνης D στον οργανισμό. Προσωπικά, τις μέρες που η διατροφή μου δεν το κάλυπτε, έπαιρνα και συμπλήρωμα μαγνησίου.
