Easy to install.
Remove the old filter cartridge and throw it away, rinse the appliance thoroughly with washing-up liquid, then fit the new filter cartridge into it, turn on the tap for 15 minutes as instructed in the manual, and you’re all set.

I’d had enough of the chlorine in the water. It had become a real nuisance.
We used to have the AquaMetix TF 2 μm, in the Primato TF-WW, but that’s not available at the moment, so I’ve tried two of these, the only difference being that they’re 0.5 μm rather than 0.2 μm – so slightly less effective, but that’s fine. (The smaller the μm, the better the efficiency at trapping harmful substances such as rust, chlorine, heavy metals, etc.)
The taste is the same as before with the 0.2 version; chlorine and so on have disappeared.
An excellent product; a bit on the pricey side, but I really like the size.
Happy shopping!

SKU: USA-TF-C Categories: , , Tags: , , , Brand:

The USA-TF-C is the replacement activated carbon cartridge for Primato USA-TF tap water filters. It removes chlorine, heavy metals, nitrates and arsenic from tap water — without stripping it of its natural minerals and without the need for electricity or a drain.

Coconut-based activated carbon, Made in the USA, compliant with FDA and EN-ISO 14898 standards

0.5 μm filtration precision

Carbon block that traps particles, rust and microorganisms.

1,500 litres Service life

Or 4–5 months of normal domestic use — whichever comes first.

30″ Replacement

Unscrew, fit the new cartridge, rinse. No tools required.

What it filters

The activated carbon is produced from coconut shells and compressed into a solid block. This structure provides a vast active surface area and extended contact time with the water, enabling it to trap substances that a simple mesh filter cannot capture:

  • Chlorine and disinfectant residues
  • Lead, copper, aluminium
  • Nitrates
  • Arsenic
  • Coliform bacteria
  • Particles, rust and turbidity

The result is water with a clean taste and odour, suitable for drinking and cooking. Ideal for mains water, but also for areas with elevated levels of nitrates or arsenic.

Retains natural minerals

Unlike reverse osmosis systems, activated carbon does not demineralise the water. Calcium and magnesium remain.

When to replace it

Replace the cartridge after 1,500 litres or every 4–5 months. In hard water or with heavy use, replace it sooner. Two signs that require no measurement:

1

The water flow drops noticeably.

2

A chlorine taste or odour reappears.

Replacing the filter in good time maintains both flow and retention performance.

Compatibility

Compatible exclusively with Primato USA-TF tap filters

Product codes: USA-TF-WW (white), USA-TF-GG (grey) and USA-TF-WW-NICKEL (nickel). Not suitable for other models or filters from other manufacturers.
