The USA-TF-C is the replacement activated carbon cartridge for Primato USA-TF tap water filters. It removes chlorine, heavy metals, nitrates and arsenic from tap water — without stripping it of its natural minerals and without the need for electricity or a drain.

What it filters
The activated carbon is produced from coconut shells and compressed into a solid block. This structure provides a vast active surface area and extended contact time with the water, enabling it to trap substances that a simple mesh filter cannot capture:
- Chlorine and disinfectant residues
- Lead, copper, aluminium
- Nitrates
- Arsenic
- Coliform bacteria
- Particles, rust and turbidity
The result is water with a clean taste and odour, suitable for drinking and cooking. Ideal for mains water, but also for areas with elevated levels of nitrates or arsenic.
Retains natural minerals
Unlike reverse osmosis systems, activated carbon does not demineralise the water. Calcium and magnesium remain.
When to replace it
Replace the cartridge after 1,500 litres or every 4–5 months. In hard water or with heavy use, replace it sooner. Two signs that require no measurement:
The water flow drops noticeably.
A chlorine taste or odour reappears.
Replacing the filter in good time maintains both flow and retention performance.
