MED® zeolite

Ingredient
MED® zeolite
Benefits:NaturalMineral
A mineral born of volcanoes and sea, with a structure so porous that it works like a molecular sieve.
What is zeolite?
Zeolite is a family of minerals formed millions of years ago, when volcanic ash fell into the alkaline waters of lakes and seas. The Swedish mineralogist Cronstedt named it in 1756 from the Greek “zeo” and “lithos”, the boiling stone, because when heated it releases the water held in its pores. Clinoptilolite is the most widespread and most studied member of the family. MED® zeolite is clinoptilolite mined in Slovakia and micronised and activated in Austria, with no additives, into a powder that is extremely fine yet free of nanoparticles.
What are the benefits of zeolite?
Its secret is its structure: every grain is a three-dimensional lattice of channels and cavities with a stable negative charge. It therefore attracts and holds positively charged ions and molecules — heavy metals, ammonia, odours — while letting water pass through. In contact with the skin this translates into:
- Absorption of excess oil and sweat
- Deep cleansing of the skin’s surface
- Binding of odours
- A feeling of cleanliness without tightness
- Mild, mechanical exfoliation from the fine powder
Why “MED”?
Activation increases the mineral’s internal surface and absorption capacity, and CE certification as a medical device means controlled purity, consistent grain size and analysis of every batch. The same mineral, of the same quality, is used in the products for internal use.
Where does it come from?
From the Nižný Hrabovec deposit in eastern Slovakia, one of the purest clinoptilolite deposits in the world, with a content above 80%. Processing takes place in Austria.
